A hand selected list of Vikre Cocktails

But, When the ingredients are so good, you don't need many to make a cocktail great.  Wow your friends (and your tastebuds) with one of these simple cocktails, perfect for everything from relaxing on your porch to hosting a dinner party.


JUNIPER GIN & TONIC

Add one shot of Boreal Juniper Gin to a tall ice-filled glass. Add a squeeze of lime and top with tonic.

JUNIPER GIMLET

Shake 2 oz. Boreal Juniper Gin, 3/4 oz. lime juice, and 3/4 oz. simple syrup with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve.


FRENCH 75

Shake 1 oz. Boreal Spruce Gin, 1/2 oz. lemon juice, and 1/2 oz. simple syrup with ice until chilled.  Strain into a flute and top with brut sparkling wine.

BEE'S KNEES

Shake 2 oz. Boreal Spruce Gin, 3/4 oz. lemon juice, and 3/4 oz. honey syrup* with ice until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry.

* To make honey syrup combine equal parts honey and water and stir until the honey dissolves.

SPRUCE MARTINI

Stir 3 oz. Boreal Spruce Gin,  1 oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth, and 3 dashes orange bitters with ice until very, very cold. Strain into a glass and garnish with a lemon twist or olive.


Cedar Grapefruit Fizz

Add one shot of Boreal Cedar Gin to a glass filled with ice. Top with grapefruit soda and a squeeze of lime.

Cedar & Cider

Add a shot of Boreal Cedar Gin to a glass of fresh apple cider. Server hot or cold.

Cedar Negroni

Cedar Negroni

Stir 1 1/2 oz. Boreal Cedar Gin, 1 oz. vikre amaro superiore, and 1 oz. sweet vermouth with ice until chilled. Strain into a glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist.


Oslo Mule

Add a shot Ovrevann Aquavit to an ice filled glass. Top with ginger beer and a squeeze of lime.

Aquavit Lemonade

Add a shot of Ovrevann Aquavit to an ice filled glass. Top with fresh squeezed lemonade.

Aquavit Gimlet

Shake 2 oz. Ovrevann Aquavit, 3/4 oz. lime juice, and 3/4 oz. simple syrup with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass.


Norwegian Coffee

Add a shot of Voyageur Aquavit to a mug of strong coffee. Add brown sugar to taste plus cream or whipped cream.

Scandinavian Sidecar

Shake 2 oz. Voyageur Aquavit, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 3/4 oz. lemon juice, and 1/4 oz. simple syrup with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Voyageur ManhattAn

Stir 2 oz. Voyageur Aquavit, 1 oz. sweet vermouth, and 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.


Moscow Mule

Add one shot of Lake Superior Vodka to an ice-filled glass. Top with ginger beer and a squeeze of lime.

North Shore

Shake 2 oz. Lake Superior Vodka, 1/2 oz. grapefruit juice, 1/4 oz. lime juice, and 1/2 oz. simple syrup with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve.

  • Last Word

    Shake 1 oz. Vikre Herbal Liqueur, 1 oz. Vikre Spruce Gin, 1 oz. maraschino liqueur, and 1 oz. lime juice with ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass. If desired, garnish with a cocktail cherry.

  • Snow Bird

    Shake 1.5 oz. Voyageur Aquavit, 3/4 oz. Vikre Amaro Superiore, 1.5 oz. pineapple juice, 1/2 oz. lime juice, and 1/2 oz. simple syrup with ice to chill. Strain into an ice filled glass.

  • Italian Spritz

    Combine 2 oz. Vikre Aperitivo Classico, 3 oz. of prosecco, and 1 oz. soda water in a wine goblet with ice. Garnish with an orange or grapefruit slice. Or garnish with an olive like an Italian!
